Changing out my radio had turned into a headache. I have lost power from the constant power wire. I have power from the accessory power wire but none from the constant power wire.

Does anyone know what fuse this wire goes to? I’ve tried to track the source of the wire (it’s part of a bundle) and I think it leads to the fuse box but I’m not certain. I’ve been pulling fuses and haven’t found a bad one yet. Wire connections are solid as well.

If this helps, I didn’t lose constant power until I removed my after market amplifier from the system. I can’t think of how that would effect it but it was working prior to removing the amp.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry, thought my profile had all that. Guess I never completed it. It’s a ‘99 SE. I pulled the radio fuse behind the glove box and it was good. Even replaced it just to be certain. Wiring diagrams may as well be Greek to me. I need to dumbed down, “the reddish wire goes to this fuse” kind of language.

The radio gets its constant 12 volts via the pink wire with white tracer coming from the #20 10 amp fuse inside the power distribution center.

I wish this forum showed the year of people's TJ under their names - would make helping with year-specific stuff easier. Andy

I agree, and filling out your profile still makes people have to go in and look before they can help, but adding it to your signature (see below) is easy and I wish everyone would do that.

I always thought having it show up on the left side where it shows when you joined, number of messages and location would be a good idea.

Some forums I belong to have that but I don't know if it's an option here. Maybe @Chris has input on that.

I don't know how or if it could be done but think it would be a quick and easy way to see what year someone has without having to leave the page. I brought it up once before in the past.

Make it a mandatory field that has to be filled out?

If that's the case, I would let a professional handle it. Seriously dude. For The Love of Jeep.
