For some odd reason I bought a very rusty, but complete 1973 Jeep Commando last weekend. I'm blaming a mix of peer pressure and low price:)

It has a 304 V8, T15 3 Speed, Dana 20TC, Dana 30 front and Dana 44 rear. So far the drivetrain and frame seem to be decent. The body on the other hand is rough.

does the engine crank? Looks like a nice long term project. Hope you have some time on your hands.

It turned over and almost fired up and then my jump pack ran out of juice. I'm going to work on getting it running. Waiting on a couple parts.

I have no time and two other projects in the works. So who knows. If nothing else it will be good to practice cutting and welding body panels on

Are you thinking original or something custom. I'm jealous, wish I had the time for such a project.

At this point i'm just going to see if the engine and the rest of the driveline are healthy. Then I will decide which way to go. Honestly I should try to find a better body tub instead of fixing this one.
