I have about 2 inch lift on and I want to replace factory shocks with Ranchos, I've heard they run long so I would need like a 1-2 inch lift shock. I'm very confused on what the number on the shock mean. I know that the shock you want is the RS5000X but there are other number after that and I have no idea which ones to get or where to get them. Any help is appreciated fellas.

I have actual 2.5" lift in front and the 239 shocks are close to balanced in their up/down travel. I would definitely not run the shorter shocks. I have less lift in rear so the bias isn't as good but i still wouldn't run the short shocks.

I measured mine, then went on the Rancho site and ordered shocks with the correct extended/collapsed lengths I needed for my Jeep.
