Hi All,

I’m reconditioning a frame for my TJ and I think it’s ready for paint. The weather looks good this weekend so I’m hoping I can get it sprayed. I don’t have a way to flip it mid spray so I’m thinking about hanging it from the garage ceiling. Anyone have any suggestions on how to access both sides?

Congrats on doing the frame repair correctly. I believe that body off the frame is the only way to fix these frames correctly. I bought a Minnesota tj 6 years ago, knowing the frame was totally trashed,
Wow, what a project. Enjoyed doing it, Before i even started the repair i sand blasted the frame using nearly 750 lbs of sand. Cut out the rusted areas 1st, so as to blast inside the frame. Upon completion of the repair sprayed nearly one gallon of POR15 inside and outside, Then painted it. Before you waste your time painting the frame, do something inside or i think you will regret it.

I definitely have a plan to address the inside of the frame as well, but I want to get the outside painted first.
