Hello, I'm finally back in a TJ after having to sell my 04. Was lucky enough to get this 2006 Unlimited for a great deal. I wish it was a manual but the deal was too good to pass up. Maybe at some point I will swap out to a manual. This is how it sat the day I purchased it a week ago.

The second owner had it only for a short time and had put that ugly carrier rack and swapped the bumpers. Also got 4 new wheels and left the original on the back. Aside from that it is all stock. It was sold to me with an unknown coolant leak and non working 4x4. The leak was a tranny coolant line and the transfer case works perfectly fine. I just don't think the owner knew how to properly use it. First thing I did was get rid of that cage right away.

I'm going to swap the bumper back to OEM and keep it like that for now. I love the rally top on this thing. Really gives the LJ a better look than the OEM top in my opinion. Just changed all the fluids. And have brand new tranny cooler lines on the way.

Looking forward to posting updates on the LJ!

My Jeep came with a RallyTop hard top. Its been off since 2017 though. I’ve been thinking about putting it back on for a little while. Needs a lot of cleanup though.

Got my hands on a clean OEM bumper with fog lights and 5 new wheels. Also got a Fine Lines tranny coolant line kit in that I will be swapping in soon for the chopped up old lines along with some fresh Autolites, boots and belt.

Finally got around to replacing my whole cooling system. I went with OEM Water Pump, Rad Cap and Thermostat. For the fan clutch I went with a Hayden. Hoses and belt I went with Dayco. For the radiator I went with a Desno, there was no way to I was paying $400+ for an OEM. I will update how that holds up for the curious.

I also replaced my Tranny Cooler Lines as they ones one there were all chopped up. I went with a Fine Lines kit. It was fun to work those metal lines in there but it is satisfying once all done.

Shortly after all of this I started throwing code P0457 for loose gas cap. Looked through my whole eval system and it all looked good. Pulled the line from the purge valve and started her up and felt a suction on the purge valve right away. Replaced that and the CEL went away on the next drive.
