Looking for recommendations of good eye protection. Preferably something under which I can still wear prescription glasses, so maybe a shield.

I have two different shields in my shop. The first has integrated ear muffs, and I use it for grinding:

The second has a flip-down tinted shield and I use it for flame and plasma cutting:

I really like the first one. The second one is okay, but the tinted shield and my bifocals (actually progressives) are a bad match. To see close-up, I have to look below the tinted shield. I switch to reading glasses if I'm using it.

Interesting. No. Sounds expensive though, for how little time I actually spend in the garage. Also I don't always wear my glasses—the prescription isn't very strong.
But post your thoughts here for anyone else who comes along this thread.
I enjoy mine & IIRC they were about the same as a new pair of glasses which I needed anyway. Just make sure you get some that cover the sides so debris doesn't get into your eye.
I've been happy with my Lincoln face shield. It has plenty of room for my glasses, is comfortable and flips up easily. I am planning on getting a cheap set of prescription safety glasses at this years eye appointment but will still use the shield for grinding or spraying.

I have a few safety glasses with generic prescriptions like these on Amazon for about $8.00. I really like them when I am. doing layout worksnd when using the drill press.
