Car pics too cool not to share

There's not much that catches me off-guard when it comes to cars, but this bug absolutely did. I love it! That looks like it would be an absolute hoot to cruise around in! Gotta be one of the coolest things I've seen in this thread!

I figured at least one of you all would like it. It's a fun twist on a Gasser. And yes, I'd agree I'll bet it's a hoot to drive around.

Love me some Cornbinder! I've owned both a '67 and '68 Travellall. Drove that '67 as a daily for a year, or so. Could never get it over 14 mpg, and that was with a fresh rebuild on the 266 V8. But I really didn't mind. Gas was cheap, and the rig was a beautiful green color with a white top. I was stylin', man!

If you got 14 m.p.g. with ANY Binder , you sir are legend !

That was definitely its peak economy. Usually, it was a fairly consistent 11-12 mpg. I remember a couple of times kissing the 14 mpg mark, and considering it to be a victory. It was in the time of the 55 mph speed limits, and even back then, I drove like an old man. I'm sure those both were factors. ;)

While on the Binder topic here is one I recently found out about 1963 Scout Campermobile , Factory built camper body ! Way ahead of it's time !

Would love to know more about this Scout. Of course the focus is on it having a pretty cool camper setup on the back, but what intrigues me is the added rear quarter panel length behind the rear wheel well. I've never seen that before. I'm guessing it's either a rare option, or it's something that someone customized. What say you all? Ever seen one like that before?

A Hurst is in my best friend's Cobra with about 18,000 miles on it.

It sat neglected all of our childhood...after my best friend's mom died in second grade and his jealous stepmom hated her memory and that car.

He finally got it down to him in Florida in the last couple of years (he's retired Navy SAR still working on base). I'm so thankful he's got it with him because the sentimental value is difficult to put into words.

The 429 Cobra Jet engine requires 100 octane and flat-out rumbles :)
