Brake line

while under our 01 Jeep I noticed the brake line going to the rear brakes looks kind of gross. Almost a rusty appearance. I have zero clue what those were made of, but guessing it is steel and thus likely is rust. I'll try to get a pic uploaded, I posted one elsewhere asking about the undercarriage.

So, if I go to replace it can someone recommend a good place/brand to buy? It appears Amazon has a Dorman 919-221 Stainless kit that says it fits. But so does Dorman 919-200. I'll go to their site and see what I come up with because I'm not seeing a difference, but there has to be.
 
I have had good luck with Classic Tube & Inline Tube for these sorts of things, although I have not used them for any of my TJ projects.

Went to both that site and Dorman and both had multiple listings. Turns out the difference is Dana 35 and Dana 44 axle. Guess I need to figure that out on the 01 Sport.

Edit....went out and looked and the front is a Dana 30 and the rear is a Dana 35. Answers that question.

I see everyone listing stainless brake lines. Probably good deal in long run IF fit is good. I bought some stainless lines, coiled for the drop from master to axle for suspension travel, on my 60 suburban and they were a nightmare to work with.

The shape of your rear diff will positively identify which you have. Although I wonder what the differences are? I wonder if the brake wheel cylinders have a different thread pitch? I supposed the bends could be slightly different but I honestly would've guessed that the axle type didn't make for a difference.

My guess is minor differences to the shape when following the axle. My experience on stainless lines are they are a PIA to work with IF not a perfect fit. That was my issue on my 60. They don't make lines for that, at least not once you piece mill the entire brake system to get a booster and double pot master so you have parts from new trucks.

I replaced mine with an OMIX set, but I can't find it now. Don't forget to check your fuel vapor lines as well. They are very close to the exhaust.

EDITED TO ADD: I used the Classic Tube stainless kit for my brakes. The driver's side front and rear were formed exactly backwards, and I had to wrangle (sorry) them into place with a tubing bender and lots of cursing.

I'll do that. I suspect an issue with the vapor system as she doesn't like to fill without constant clicking and a check engine code.
