Are these parts wearing correctly?

Hello all.

I recent installed new driver side ball joints as well as the ZJ tie rod upgrade after noticing some steering issues (pulling to the left, and a decent sized dead zone in steering wheel). Bought the LJ with 100,000 on it 2 months ago and noticed the issues then. After 3” jks lift and 33s these problems have become worse. These installs were done about a month ago and seem to be rusting. After a recent diagnosis at 4WP, the service guy stated that almost every steering component has play, including these recently replaced parts. I’ve attached some photos of their state. Is this normal? Tie rod is moog ZJ upgrade and ball joints are spicer both purchased from Amazon links on this forum. Any help appreciated

Do a dry steering test yourself if possible. You can lift the tire a bit and use a large pry bar underneath to check the balljoints. Most 4x4 shops hire idiots

Have someone turn the wheel back and forth with the engine on (so that power steering is running) while you watch and feel the steering connections to identify exactly what is loose and go from there.

4WP is the Kmart of off-road parts/service. Agree with the others to not trust their diagnosis. Consider posting pics of your entire steering setup so we can see everything in one pic

Thank you guys. I was concerned that the early rust was not normal but seems to be. Have JKS adj trackbar going on today to fix axle unevenness. Will do steering test while checking that out. Thank you
