So I know how to do electrical stuff on vehicles but the wiring has been clipped and is too short so what kind of wire do I need to buy to extend the current wire long enough?

Zero need for shielded wiring on DC wiring.I like 18 gauge shielded, comes with a ground. I've never had any issues using this wire.
apparently the "fog light function" is a regular failure on TJS, I just replaced that multi function switch last week.my LED a pillar switch is next to my lockers switches. Idk if I need six lights but the fog stitch being empty is bothering me.
I think there is a fix that allows the fogs to remain on with the high beams. I can't seem to find it now.I wired my LED A Pillar lights to the factory fog switch. Love it but wish they worked with the high beams.
Just to expand on what Jerry said. Divide the watts by the voltage. Example: 55 watts divided by 12 volts equals 4.6 amps. 18ga. wire is fine for 4.6 amp draw.

raising this thread from the dead (and this chart) swapping my KCs from 55w floods to 100w spreads. With a run of ~10ft to a 20a fused relay, can I reuse my existing 16ga wiring kit, or do I need to run new wiring?
