So I know how to do electrical stuff on vehicles but the wiring has been clipped and is too short so what kind of wire do I need to buy to extend the current wire long enough?

Just to expand on what Jerry said. Divide the watts by the voltage. Example: 55 watts divided by 12 volts equals 4.6 amps. 18ga. wire is fine for 4.6 amp draw.

my LED a pillar switch is next to my lockers switches. Idk if I need six lights but the fog stitch being empty is bothering me.

my next lights to add will be backup lights. And switched off the rear wiper switch,,,, since I pulled off the rear wiper/washer/defogger years ago.

raising this thread from the dead (and this chart) swapping my KCs from 55w floods to 100w spreads. With a run of ~10ft to a 20a fused relay, can I reuse my existing 16ga wiring kit, or do I need to run new wiring?

I wired my LED A Pillar lights to the factory fog switch. Love it but wish they worked with the high beams.

Hey! Did you do that with the C203 wire from the switch? That's the one that goes to the fog light relay. I'm having trouble tracking that wire down in the engine compartment on my 99 TJ.
