My grandfather had one of those. I remember it from 30 years ago.

I wish I could get a dog but it's too muddy around my house and we'll have mud everywhere inside. I'll stick with cats.

They're really docile and good with kids. Their clownish friendliness is probably the #1 reason I wanted a basset. Second, a close second... is they aren't all that active. Hehe

Thankfully his pisses are little. He's peed a couple times on the carpet, no major spillage yet. Just a little dribble since I've caught him in the act.

Stinger I might send him your way. I already have 2 seven month old pups from same parents. I always loved basset hounds and might be better off with one - they must be less yappy than these 2.

Yes, but Basset's howl to no end. And the slobber, oh man, the slobber. I think we've still got some slobber on the walls from Norman, and he passed about 4 years ago...lol. He really taught our Yellow Lab some great manners and how to be relaxed....all of the time. His traits will be with us for a long, long time.
