Let me know what you think about this TJ

Of the 4, and if you're not really worried about the mileage, I like the dark green Sahara for $7,900. I would question the 4:10 gearing because no Sahara came with that ratio. Also verify the diffs .. the front should be a Dana 30 and the rear would only be a Dana 44 if it was optioned at purchase or added later.

Thanks for the info. Hadn’t heard about Tampa Jeep Krewe before. I am really looking for a white TJ.

What do you think of this?

A salvaged title is only a negative if you plan on selling the vehicle in the future. You just need to know exactly why it was salvaged. As far as the Jeep, from what I can see it's a nice one.

not a fan of salvage title vehicles....not for $12.5K

Both of those. If the Jeep can satisfy you that it's not salvaged due to any damage, and you don't intend to put it up for sale in the future, go for it. But it's priced too high with that title.

@stylo328, you’ll find one! They’re out there. Took me 6 months. It’s a big investment, so wait for what you really want. ;)

+1 on that... I am impatient..only took 2 months of looking for me...I got what I originally wanted, rust free (as much as you can in NE), half doors, 4.0, auto....but If I lurked more here before the purchase I would have held out for a Rubicon.

Thank you all. I am trying to be patient and at the same time thorough to make sure there isn’t something local that I am missing. I’m also trying to read quite a bit. I’ve got to tell you that SYE versus transfer case drops versus this, that, and the other, gets quite confusing. I know it must be frustrating to those of you that spend a lot of time on this forum to answer the same questions over and over again, but I can tell you as a well educated and moderately successful individual who is new to jeeps, all of the TJ nuances can be tricky to understand.

From all of the post on this thread and the other thread I know how much you guys love TJs on 35’s. I figured I’d get your opinion on this TJ on 40s [emoji16]

WOW... 40" tires on 20" rims with the stock Dana 30/Dana 35 axles and 4.10 gears and a 3" body lift.

I wouldn't touch that thing with a 30 foot pole. Those axles are probably just waiting to blow up, it likely has NO power at all, and whoever built that built it very poorly IMHO. Even 40s on a mall crawler with stock axles is going to be bad. Those big tires are going to wear out your components twice as fast.

Every single thing you could do wrong to a TJ this person has done. I realize that's an opinion, but I think it's one that most will side with me on.

I can't tell if you're serious or not...if that TJ was ever in a serious collision, I'd be afraid the body would sheer off of the frame with that 3" body lift.

I was not being serious. I am taking your posts to heart and trying very hard to learn from them.

I saw that craigslist ad and immediately thought “I can’t imagine what the folks on the forum would say about this one”.

Nice....decent looking Rubi, but a little drive.

This has too much going on for my taste, but could be up your alley.

Here is another potential candidate that I have been looking at over the past week or so. Communication with the seller has been difficult to say the least. It appears the jeep is owned by a son who may or may not be out of the area and the mother is helping in the transaction. I’ve been waiting for pictures for a few days. I hadn’t posted it here since I had yet to receive the photos, but figured I might as well to get your opinion. Appears to be stock height but you would know better from looking at the pictures.

Thank you for that. My realistic price range is about $10,000 and I could take a cashiers check to a seller for that amount tomorrow. 14,900 is way out of my price range and from what I can tell, there isn’t much movement with the Jeep sellers. Highly unlikely that the Rubicon would go for less than 14. The green one seems pretty cool but I was really hoping for White, could settle for a black.

Haha, so glad to hear that. I genuinely thought you were being serious.

In all seriousness though, that is one of the most poorly built TJs I've ever seen. He did everything you shouldn't do, haha!
