My TJ came with the turn signal mirrors (no heat) with amber lenses. The drivers side has always wiggled, but the inner adjustment piece broke on the passenger side so now it's held on by duct tape. I also think it's stripped. I was thinking about splurging on these, even though I don't love the clear lenses, BUT, then I remembered my 11-hour battery bolt nightmare and a lot of posts from others about having to drill out the bolts. In general, do you think it's a "If you take your time and use the right tools they'll come out fine" or, "Nah, there's a 90% chance one or more bolts will ruin your life" (or at least my weekend)? Thinking I could just get a mirror top from salvage, and throw some loctite on it.

How will you wire them up? Going to have to run through the door. Going to need a connector if you plan on removing the doors.

Not sure how they'd work with a relocation bracket.

Or how they'd survive in Oregon brush and trees.

It has the turn signal mirrors now, so the wiring is already run through the door. No connectors though which never bothered me because I don't take my half doors off. My bigger concern is treating myself to nice new mirrors and messing up the bolt holes and paint in the process of changing them out.
( I doubt I'm making it to Oregon anytime soon, but New York feels and looks like Oregon right about now.)
