So I just aquired a 97. Got it for $2500 with some rust on the frame that will need to be patched. 2in BDS Lift, 31s, 5 Speed. I had the calipers and pads changed yesterday because they were sticking. All in all I love it so far.

My question too you all now, should I keep the silver does or swap the red ones from my 01? I like the look of the red but I would appreciate your assistance!!

Great deal, I love '97 TJs... that was the year of my first TJ and it was great. On the doors, it's unclear if your new Jeep came with silver doors too but if it did, I'd run them instead of the red full doors. If you have the silver doors, are they half-doors or full steel like your red ones?

There full silver doors but missing the door panels. Wife likes the red and wants to do some more red accents.

My first TJ was a 97, and I'd love a $2500 project TJ to tinker with, nicely done. Full hard doors sell like hotcakes in my area, should be able to flip those for more funds for Jeep parts!

Good project to have with beer buddies. If you keep it that way, no one bothers to steal it he-he
