LJ cargo tie down

Vacuum forming is probably the best approach for my project.
I have some hand guards and wind deflectors that I want to duplicate in dark blue polycarbonate (to match the windscreen) for the Harley... so it's super back-burner stuff.
I've never explored vacuum forming by Xometry. I know they do injection molding, but I agree - for a one-off, vacuum forming will be way more cost effective.

Had to show these off. Dmopar97’s design, send/cut/send, and a local welder (my welding skills are less than great). Just need to break the edges and paint.

Hey that's awesome. I'm stoked you're using them. Hopefully they work out for you. post up your experience after you get some time with them! I used a little bit of ~1/2" packing foam between the brackets and the body just to keep them from from scratching the paint, etc.

I'm very interested in having these made from send/cut/send. As I'm looking at the two existing mounting points, it seems like two new anchor points at each corner of each piece where it makes a 90 degree turn, would make it rock solid. It seems that with just the two anchor points, it could lift up with when stressed, whereas with two additional anchor points in each corner would prevent that from happening. I haven't looked yet, but is it just too difficult to get up on those corners from underneath to secure a nut to a bolt?

Yeah having something in the corner would be way better, but at least my tub doesn’t have an oem attachment point there, or I absolutely would have used it.
