Car pics too cool not to share

Another '74 LE, when it rains it pours, I guess.

For reference and a bit of shock, regarding the two LE's I posted last week, the Creamsicle sold for $71k, the Bumblebee went for $91k. That's a bit of loot for a 914 IMHO.

For a swamp cooler to work most effectively, it needs a constant supply of fresh air with 100% exchange. For the transmission hump model, even with all the windows rolled down, it is still recycling some of the air from the interior space which reduces the efficiency because it raises the humidity which reduces the evaporation.

It definitely helps to live in a very arid climate... much the opposite of the "Great North Wet"

You think that's bad, try sleeping using a CPAP machine when so afflicted. Ask me how I know...:sneaky:

Story time. Chasing some issues, my uncle wound up with a CPAP machine a few years ago, and he does use it. Keeps it right beside his bed sucking and pumping air like they all do. His old dog used to also sleep beside his bed, too. One particular evening he put it on, settled in bed and closed his eyes. Right as he was about to fall asleep he was hit with a rotten eggs and onions smell, they spicy kind of smell that you can taste and makes your eyes water. Said he sat up and yanked that mask off with a quickness and started looking for something wrong with the machine, which is when he noticed dog ass pointing right at it. Old Max had done ripped one off and piped it directly to my uncles face. :ROFLMAO:

I don't have a dog. I have a wife. Same overall result, however...:sneaky:

Oh, geez, boys...I'm headed for trouble, now!

I just found my old '61 Rambler American wagon for sale by the daughter of the guy who got it from me some 25 years ago! She had just posted it on Craigslist five hours earlier. It's a sign, I tell you! :) The old car is definitely in sad shape (well, relatively speaking), but I don't care. I emailed the gal a few minutes ago (a little after 1:00am). You know...just to "talk". If I can manage to bring this one back home, ol' Squatch might be looking for a new place to sleep!

This is 100% for sure my old car. I added the bullets to the flat area of the taillight lenses some 25 years ago, and moved the rear axle back exactly 1.250" to center the wheels in the wheel wells. Looks like someone went crazy with the rattle can primer, and the interior has been stripped, but whatever. That's my old car, and I think she needs to come back home! :sneaky:

Got an email back from the gal who owns the little Rambler wagon. She confirmed that it's my old car, and has offered to give it to me if'n I want it. I just got back from talking with the neighbors, and they'll rent me a parking spot right next door for $50 a month (I named the price, so I'm fine with that). Waiting to schedule a time to go take a look at the Rambler this weekend, preferably on a day when the wife is out with her friends. ;)

And so it begins...
