Inquiring swapping my Dana 30/35 axles for Dana 44 axles from a Rubicon. I want the stronger axles and the lockers. What would be needed to do the swap?

Never heard of Rinican........😂

Good luck finding a set of Rubicon axles that aren't outrageously priced. Let us know if you do.

If you find a pair of Rubicon axles you'll end up with lockers with unobtainable parts.

Build a super 30/35 with upgraded shafts and E-lockers or ARB air lockers.

Or buy crate axles from Curry.

I’m told Currie makes buying what you want more difficult now than when I ordered last set.

drifting a little off topic, I know a lot of people have done JK axle swaps. Anyone doing JL swaps yet? Heard the JL Rubicon axles were stronger. Saw a brand new set for sale locally for a fraction of TJ 44 price.Has anyone in here done it yet?

Waste of money I'd say unless you're getting them for a hell of a deal.

If that is the case, all you'll need are the axles. You can wire up the lockers to work using the factory pumps / wiring or coming up with your own solution.

I did this, but only because I found a good deal. The 44s I found were built out, with the weak point being the stock lockers, but any locker is better than none I'd say. The seller had them listed for the price of the upgrades he bought in 2020, most of which got quite a bit more expensive by the time I bought the axles. He didn't upsell (much) for them being dana 44s, and overall I saved a good amount of money. All of this is to say, it's not worth it if they're not built out for a fair price or stock for very very cheap.

If you still want to go through with it, you technically don't need much. Assuming you are getting the pumps (which you should or the whole deal is not worth it), just drill holes in your abs tray and wire from there with your own switches. You'll have to shorten your driveshafts a fair bit and if you're keeping the pinion yokes as they are you'll need 1310-1330 u joints to connect the driveshaft to the axle. Last thing I remember is new parking brake cables for the disk brakes. Aside from that everything else bolts in the same as your current set of axles.
