Random photos: Got anything interesting, unique, strange?

Really dude? It takes up maybe 5% of the video, and it's at the bottom.

Yes, REALLY. It literally ruins the video, I cannot watch video with this bullshit - and neither can many/most other people. Exercise your Google-Fu. You can either watch the video when you're given a choice to not have this crap - OR - you can read the (usually flashing) text and not see the video at all.

This smartphone bullshit needs to stay on sites like tiktok where it was birthed. I *always* give a thumbs down and a nasty comment before I leave - content creators need to get a clue. Just something else in this world that has been completely ruined and fucked over by the PHOOOOOONNE.

Not amused in the slightest.

It's quite common for videos incorporating police bodycam footage of incidents as it's sometimes hard to make out what is being said, done for clarity. I think "ruined" is a bit strong.
That usually isn't the blinking, animated stuff. If its un-intelligible as in your example, non-blinking/animated makes some sense. But this bullshit as the video in question has, is COMPLETELY unacceptable and is completely understandable without this crap. At least it isn't blinking like so many are. "Ruined" isn't strong, if anything, it understates the problem. FUCKING BULLSHIT!!!

This is what "closed captioning" is for - not this baked in bullshit.

This might be the most unpleasant human being of all time, he 'pulls' a cop over then proceeds to methodically escalate the situation to the point where he ends up being dragged off in cuffs. Dude seems hell bent on turning his son into a flaming asshole too.

Wtf is wrong with people

Quite the train wreck going on there. He just keeps making it worse, lucky they didn't tazer or pepper spray him.

I was an EMT in the 90's, before everyone had cell phones and would be filming. I'm sure he would've gone to jail bloody back then.

This smartphone bullshit

What you are complaining about has nothing to do with smartphones, for fuck sake, it's just the way Midwest Safety does their videos. If you don't like it, don't watch it.

I had to go view it again to see what all the fuss is about...and I still don't see it. I was focused on the video action itself, occasionally gleaning factoids from the captions.

I think this needs to be said, you're being a bit of a fucking drama queen here. Chill a bit, it's Friday. If you think that's annoying, buddy, I could find some shit that'll make your head explode, unless you have the attention span of a fruit fly. :sneaky:

Trust me, I don't watch this crap; thumbs down and I'm out.

All they had to do was use closed captioning which has been supported by YooToob since forever. Instead, they baked it in so nobody can turn it off - and that has EVERYTHING to do with smartphones. Do your Google Fu - this bullshit originated on tiktok (designed for vertical smartphone videos) and came about because smartphone idiots want to watch their bullshit vertical crap without sound. If it had just stayed there in the sewer that birthed it, it would be fine. But now its migrated into "regular" videos as well. I will continue to slam this horseshit every time I see it.

I am BEYOND sick and tired of the damage and ruination that fucking device has done, and continues to inflict, to the world. Everybody bends over backwards and puts up with all kinds of crap that is directly - or indirectly - or derived from - the goddamned smartphone. I hope Jobs rots in Hell for inflicting this craptastic thing on the world. This worst of it is that this is actually the least of it.

And yea, I'm feeling particularly bitchy today. Where's my Modol?

Why are the dumbest people the most confident in their mental abilities? The real problem is that retard has a kid. :(

Put some tape over then. You won't miss anything. Quit bitching

That's fine, it's still a free country, for the moment. But I'm not sure if I understand the point of you publicly venting in numerous posts every time some digital content doesn't fit your very specific set of criteria...particularly if you think it has anything to do with a smartphone (even when it fucking doesn't). I'm not a fan of the fucking devices, but give it fucking rest. Everyone here is well aware of your issues...we don't need the constant fucking reminder. 🤨

Just be glad I'm not in charge of shit, you'd be relegated to two tin cups and some fucking twine. Not even a corded phone for you, and no yelling, either.

As for the rest of it, I can't be bother to address any further. I've dealt with some seriously retarded horseshit all day, both work and personal. I punched in at 3:30 am this morning, it's now 7:08 pm and I'm still on the clock. Your latest bout of smartphone fetish is pushing me over my daily limit...

Pretty sure I hit my "fucks per post" quota with that one.

There have been times when I've been able to scroll the thing up or down to hide the flashing nonsense, but sometimes its right in the friggin' middle. Its just crap - its only extant because people won't say anything about it, the road to mediocrity.

I didn’t even look at it, but it’s not something that bothers me. It’s the posts with just a link to an external site (such as FB) that I am not a member of, so I can’t see even if I wanted to.

FB, TWITter, Instatwat, all those are pi-holed out of existence. Don't see them at all. Unfortunately, their garbage has reached YooToob as well, hence the blinkin' text that should have stayed on ticktok where it came from.

Once the largest known waterfall on Earth.

Dry Falls in Washington state is a massive 400-foot-high, 3.5-mile-wide cliff that was once the largest known waterfall on Earth

At its peak during the Ice Age, Dry Falls was five times the width and three times the height of Niagara Falls

The cataclysmic floods rushing over the drop had ten times the combined flow of all the current rivers in the world combined

The massive torrents of water came from Glacial Lake Missoula in Montana, when a giant ice dam broke and unleashed a wall of water speeding at 65 miles per hour across eastern Washington

The dramatic scarred landscape (called the Channeled Scabland) baffled scientists for decades. Geologist J. Harlen Bretz was mocked in the 1920s for claiming a massive flood caused it, before people realized he was entirely right

While most canyons and waterfalls take millions of years to form by slow erosion, the massive canyon below Dry Falls (the Grand Coulee) was ripped open in a matter of days or weeks by the sheer force of the racing water

While it is called Dry Falls, the water didn't slowly dry up from climate change. The waterfall simply turned off instantly when the last ice age ended and Glacial Lake Missoula finally emptied for good.
