Previous owner put a Hurst handle on the shifter. I purchased a new knob but can't figure out how to remove the old handle. Theres a locking nut under it that I was able to loosen but it doesn't come completely loose (but is turning mostly freely now).
Grabbing the handle and trying to twist / unscrew it makes me feel like I'm torquing the shifter hard. I don't want to break anything. The handle now has okay if about 5 degrees rotation (didntbefore) bit just can't get it any further. Help???
