Hello all,

Wanted to introduce myself. I’m in the SF east bay and looking for new knowledge and some good people to do some wheeling.

I’ve got a 1998 with 4 inch lift and 33’s. Looking forward to this

Andrew

There are lots of folks from CA on here. Welcome from TX. What all have you done to your rig? You mentioned 4”, 33’s and sway bar discos. Anything else? What more do you have planned?

I have a Dana 44 out of an XJ that I am building for the rear and I am doing chromolly shafts in the Dana 30 with ARB lockers front and rear with 4.56 gears. Also a roof rack, winch and adjustable JKS control arms for better articulation. I am building it more as a family fun vehicle at this point and maybe a full crawler in the future. I have 2 little kids that I want to teach and have an appreciation of the outdoors like I do.

Nice rig !
I’m up in Orland by Chico. We have members in Sf and in Martinez and more in Lake county also. Just wheeled with them last weekend outside of Sac

That’s really cool. My build is very similiar. I also have a Dana 44 I’m in the middle of. It came off an 05 Sport. I’m also putting 4.56 gears in. My five kids argue over who is going to get to go wheel. It’s family fun all around and welcome to this family. I look forward to following your build and seeing where it takes you. We love pics around here, so don’t be shy!

Nice looking rig. Green always looks good and I don't see them to often on the road. The tan hardtop gives it a good contrast. Since your building a dana 44 out of an xj I assume you know how to weld? Are you doing your own gears? I got mine done at 4 wheel drive specialties near lowes.

Actually, I’m not an experienced welder. I have a friend of mine that was going to do it. If you have any suggestions as to people in the area that would be willing to help when I get to that point please sling me some names
