Key turns, but ignition doesn’t

Key turns enough for the radio, but wouldn’t turn enough to crank... I thought it was the tumbler, so I disassembled it and it didn’t appear to be faulty. While apart, I decided to stick it in the column to see if it would start. It will not. Still doesn’t turn enough. Are these things known to go out? Thanks guys!

Ignition actuator pin Very common problem, parts avail at auto zone I think it was around $30.
 
Changed it out... The plastic pin was fine, the cast piece broke, like billiebob's above. It was fun to get it back into the correct position. The old one exploded when removed, so I couldn't use that as a guide. Works now, thanks fellas
