Suggestions on an aggressive hood?

Sounds like your LJ has a spot in the garage, it would be fine with the hood louver, three of the 4 sides of the engine are already open to the elements.

Im a little confused, as to why you would let this drive your purchase decisions. As said before, it’s about who’s name is on the title. If your after something to clarify, it’s not his Jeep, have a windshield sticker made that says “NOT (BIL NAME) JEEP”. Seems silly to go blow a pocket full of cash on something just to clarify its not the previous owners Jeep anymore. Then when it all blows over, peel the sticker off. What did you waste, 10-20 bucks vs a new hood, or hood mods you may not be happy with in the future??

At the end of the day, it’s in your driveway right? So it’s all about what YOU WANT. If your into the hood mods, go for it, but don’t let petty stuff like that drive your decisions...

Also, is it a possibility that they keep referring to it as “his” Jeep because it bothers you so much? Just food for thought..

The Duraflex hood is a POS. Gaps are horrible and the hood panels are super wavy. I had mine bodyworked a bit and painted and it looks OK, but when you get up close you can really see all the flaws.

I'd say they're hit or miss. The duraflex hood I had didn't have any of the warpages yours has. The bottom edge where it butts up against the fender was straight as can be for me.

Maybe I got a particularly bad one. Glad to hear they aren’t all that bad, because mine is horrendous.
