Well I have wanted a jeep for about as long as I can remember but I finally got one! I thought I wanted an earlier model tj(you'll see why in a second keep reading) but I found this 2005 Willys edition and it just felt like the one! Drove it back home 3 hours but I stayed off the highway so there was a LOT of stop signs and stop lights and I had zero problems with the nsg370 everyone complains about. Mine shifted flawlessly. So now I've got a question about my first upgrade, probably not what you're expecting.... I would like to replace the stereo with one of the older tj stereos. I know it sounds backwards but I have a lot of old cassettes that I don't want to go to waste, plus I don't care for the newer round look, to me the square edges look much better. Obviously the stereos themselves won't swap out but are the center dash pieces interchangeable?

That thing looks nice and clean, congrats on the purchase!

The dash trim pieces are interchangeable as far as I'm aware, yes.

Love it! If they'd made a Willys Edition LJ, I'd have been all over it. So, I "made my own".

Other than the shifting can be a bit vague, I like the NSG570 too. It's a good match with the 4.0.

3 hour trip home? I only had a 2 hour trip home with my LJ
