JL is almost gone. The dealership is putting new breaks on it, but its mine, a 2004 Wrangler Sport. 81K miles, Hard top, 4.0L, 5spd, one owner, fairly cared for and, sold back to the same dealership it was bought from. This is my only picture so far.

Congrats on the purchase! What happened to the JL? Why are you getting rid of it?

If it has anything to do with large payments or not wanting to get a single scratch on a vehicle that expensive, I can't blame you one bit.

Well sometimes life has a way of kicking your arse if your complacent. Thats what happened to me. I had a great year and a half with my JL, but the payment is breaking my back. I sold it to the dealership, and picked up this TJ. Bitter sweet. I really like the TJ and cant wait till they call me to come get it.

I scratched it good! Wheeled the hell out of that beautiful machine. It was no mall crawler, and this TJ WILL be lifted.

No doubt. I've got two teenage boy drivers, and compared the idea of paying upwards of 40 grand on a new JL, and worrying about what they were doing to it ... to buying a TJ. The TJ won out to keep me sane, lol.

Hey ,you upgraded.

A JL is a nice machine , but you may have more fun in the TJ.

A lot of the guys on here could afford whatever they want , and they want a TJ .

Give it time , study the lift threads here , and ask away. Lot of good , sensible people here. And me .

I wouldn't want to pay that amount of money for a car only to beat it up, that's my issue. I can get behind that more not the TJ being that it's less than half the cost in most cases.

My thoughts exactly. A TJ is cheaper, and you won't feel nearly as bad when they beat it up. Imagine seeing a $54,000 fully loaded JL Rubicon getting trashed. Unless you've got deep pockets, that would irk me!

Well, it is my intention to lift it some. I want to keep as much of its road manners as I can but with getting more off road utility. Im not considering beyond 33s, and dont even know if 33 is practical for my vision.

I run 12.5 x 33" tires and have a 4" lift . I can drive 70 with one finger on the highway .

My TJ isn't special (except to me , ask my wife) ...there are a ton of little, but important, things you will learn on here that will help you put it all together. brand/series of shocks, air pressure , pitman arms, track bars, etc.

Pay attention to the details . Seriously .
