OK, front and rear springs, shocks and a track bar relocation bracket purchased. Anything else I need for a two inch spring lift? Steering stabilizer? Is there a kit or bracket I can buy, and get my own stabilizer to put in it?

Do you currently not have a steering stabilizer? Oem should be fine. ZJ Swap may be worth looking at. You may need extended links for the rear TB. I doubt it's necessary to add extended brake lines but if you need them you can get YJ lines and save some coin.

I would add an adjustable front trackbar to my want list.

What size tire are you shooting for? You may need to add bump stop extension to keep the tires out of the fenders.

Leaving the already larger than stock 31s it came with. Modest spring lift and a winch, will lock the front end sometime. Just gonna drive it and get better.

That sounds like an awesome plan. You must have some great wheeling near you in CO.

Cycle the suspension with the springs and shocks out and check for clearance issues. My OME 2.5" came with 1" bump stop extensions for the rear, so you might need that. Adding the tb relocation bracket in the rear will limit your clearance to the tub when flexing, so look for that.

Any chance of driveline issues with a 2"? I really dont have 1K to do the SYE mod right now. All the parts are almost here, springs, shocks and the track bar relocation bracket so Im close to getting out the jack stands and getting to work.

Every TJ is different. Some get no vibes, while others do. I had vibes after installing my OME 2.5" lift and had to space the t-case skid down 3/4". My TJ is very sensitive to change for some reason.

X2 to every TJ is different. I only replaced the axles to a lower gearing and I picked up a drive line vibe. Didn't mess with the height at all, as it already had a 2" lift from PO, just swapped axles. I dropped the transfer down 3/4" and most of it went away. I plan on doing the MML and BL this winter and hope that completely gets rid of the vibration.

Make sure you have the weight resting on the axles when you torque everything down. Doesn't hurt to bounce up and down on the bumper a few times to get everything settled in either. If you are doing it without spring compressors, an extra set of hands is almost a must. Ratchet straps came in handy for me too.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Absolutely a chance. I used a 1" mml to get rid of driveline vibs after my 2.5" lift.

That's pretty much my build plan as well. I put an auto locker in the front, 31s, looking for a winch. I was going to do a 2" lift but I think I have decided to do the H&R 1" springs instead. I think it will work really well for everything I want to do, mostly overland stuff.

For a TJ (not an LJ), chances are pretty darn good that you will still need to drop the t-case 3/4” to 1”, even for just a modest 2” lift. If your Jeep is heavier than the norm in the rear, I believe this would reduce the chances of needing to do anything.

When I did my 2” BDS lift, it yielded a tad bit more than 2” and I had to drop the t-case a bit to eliminate vibes on take-off from a stop. I’ll likely do SYE, rear DS and adjustable arms at some point, but I’m in no hurry since I only drive it on the street at this time.

So...I'm getting one of those "currie contraptions" and will have a set of Rubicon Express Discos for sale pretty soon.

here is a link...

Mine are a couple years old, still function great. PM me if you're interested.
JKS for 2" lift already on the way. Thanks though.

OK, everything but the disconnects are here. I have only the springs and shocks, and a track bar relocation bracket, nothing adjustable or fancy, just a 2" spring lift. Should I go ahead and just swap over the parts?

I did a 2” lift recently. Springs, shocks, rear trackbar relocation bracket, and adjustable front trackbar. I tried to see if I could use the rear trackbar without any bracket, and it was just too short. I used straps, had people push, no matter. With the OME relocation bracket it lined up just right, and centered. I should have also bought longer sway bar links for the front.

You’re also gonna need to extend the rear axle ventilation hose. Get a short piece of 5/16” fuel hose and clamps.

Does this lean in toword the frame, or lean out?
