I finally got one :)

Yea Doktormane, I've seen a lot of really overpriced jeeps in the last two years. Especially in the area where I live, people want a high price for these older jeeps. I scooped this one up hoping it would serve me well and also hopefully hold some value.

Ya, they do seem to hold a special value down here in the south.. keep me posted on what you plan on doing to it

Weekend of August 26th , 8000+ jeeps descend on Gatlinburg ,Tn.

Vendors , rides and general revelry prevail. The Gatlinburg Convention Center is the focal point I believe .

That's a LOT of jeeps . Google some images ...it's gonna be a blast .

My plan is to drive around to big JKs on 37's and say in a real stupid voice - where we goin' Thunder? with a dumb look on my face.

I'll probably get the crap beat out of me.

Hey Hog, I think for the most part I'm going to keep it nice and stock. I really want to put a new set of tires on it, I'm probably going to stick with the 265/70/16 size since that's what's on there now. I'm definitely going to upgrade the sound system, keep the stock head unit but add a couple of amps and much better speakers. I'm also wanting to look into suspensions and maybe try to find something that rides a little better than stock but does not lift the jeep up. I'll see how that goes.
I'm not wanting to lift it or put light bars or winches or anything like that. Just keeping it clean. Lol
