Question on using resistors on LED blinkers

So I decided to get rid of the hyperflash that was occurring with my Jeep. I have stock tails, but up front I have tube fenders with single 3/4” LEDs on each side.

I spliced in the load resistor on one side, flash slowed down a little on the side but remained fast.

I put the other one in on the other side, and now both blinkers go off when only using one. Same hyperflash as when using the one, but now the opposite side flashes VERY lightly at the same time. Odd.

Might just rip them out and deal with the hyperflash, or order up one of the poison spider relays.. 2002 tj if that helps.

I figured the relays would be pricey. Autozone has a Novita ep26 flasher.
