Have to rewire the connectors on the hard top. Have 5 wires. The first two (larger wire) are easy. For the defroster. But the remaining 3 (for the wiper and washer) are odd. There are 2 grey with pink stripe wires. One seems to be constant 12V, but the other grey/pink and the 3rd wire (brown with green stripe) don't seem to do anything. Have tried using a multimeter but can't find which is wiper and which is washer. Or any other combo. The brown/green is easy to hook back up, but how to know which grey/pink from the tub goes to which way to the top?

The issue is the connector on the top is located up and in the hole where the harness leads up. Was unable to separate the two plug halves, and if I did there would be no way to reconnect them again. So I had to cut the wires with about 2" of wire on the top side. Unable to do any rewire with the rollbar in the way so the top is on a pallet on the side of the garage. So all I have to work with right now is the 5 separate wires from the body side wire harness. The 2 larger wires were easy. They were for the defroster. But why the heck have 3 wires with 2 being the same?!?! Again, 1 is constant 12v. Not key activated, always on 12v. That is one of the grey/pink wires. No combination of the 3 seems to activate with the wiper switch or the washer switch. Yet obviously that is what they are supposed to do. Any ideas? Can't put the hardtop back on until I get somebody to help. And when I do, that rollbar is smack in the way to work on the wiring harness anyway.

The rear washer won't have a wire running thru that plug. The pump for the rear washer is located up front on the reservoir.

You tested both Grey/Pink wires to ground and only got 12v constant on one? According to the wiring diagram, I'd expect 12v constant on both. The Brown/Light Green wire should have 12v with the wiper switch on, possibly only with the ignition also on.

Had the truck running to be sure to have propper 12v and ground, etc. You are right about the washer pump. Yea, that was obvious. That's why I ask before I do something stupid. So those 3 wires must all be for the wiper. Is it a 2 speed wiper? Or 1 wire to wipe when washer is on, and the other for just wiper? That sounds like it.

I wonder if that second Grey/Pink loops thru the hardtop and back to the switch. It might only feed power to the motor for the rear washer if the hardtop is connected. I tried looking thru the wiring diagram to confirm but I couldn't follow it.

That does make sense. I'm going to splice in a longer wire harness to the top. And leave the tub harness for when the top is back on. Then I can put the multimeter to work and fix the harness right. (And only have to do it once) Thank you for your help on this one.👍.
