Good morning, I just bought a 97 TJ 2.5l 2 months ago. I am new to jeeps and got this since soon my son will start driving and am looking at getting it ready for him to drive. First off what online sits are the best to order from? I am looking at giving it a tune up, and getting the steering suspension repaired as to much dead space in the steering wheel. I will be leaving it stock as no lift will be installed. Just want it to be reliable and safe for a young driver. I have searched the threads but see most post about the 4.0. Here is a pic of the vehicle.

I always order from Amazon as much as possible because their return policy is simple and painless. I also like the super fast shipping.

Northridge4x4 is good, and Extreme Terrain is hit or miss, and Quadratec typically sucks in my experience.

Yes, most posts are for the 4.0 as the 2.5 isn't as common. However, you're 2.4 should be easy to tune up with some new spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor, and O2 sensors as well.

Awesome, I have both O2 sensors, plugs, wires, distributor, cap in my amazon cart already. Just seeing if better deals or sites are out there. This is what one of my O2 sensors look like.

Damn, that thing definitely needs to be replaced ;)

Make sure to replace both O2 sensors, particularly the pre-cat one.

Thanks for the input, replaced both O2 sensors, plugs and wires. Cleaned the throttle body and battery terminals. Runs a lot smoother and actually made my gas gauge operate now. Pics of old parts removed.

Oh. I found pics xD
It looks pretty good. Nice in my book 😁

Also Amazon. And, whilst I may be exiled for this statement, I don't have any problems getting stuff from the auto parts store, as long as it's not more expensive than Amazon or another online site, as well as a lot of the things you can get with a lifetime warranty.
