Just installed a new ignition lock cylinder in my 1998 TJ. (To fix an issue where the key could be removed regardless of position.)

Prior to the install, the Jeep would emit a beeping, as soon as the key was inserted. The beeping was due to having no doors. Basically, the Jeep was emitting a beep, to inform user that the key was left in the ignition.

But now after installing the new lock cylinder, there is no more beeping. Unless I push inward on the lock cylinder, then I can get it to beep. I'm assuming something about the new cylinder assembly is not fully making contact with the beep actuator.

So here is the deal - I am fine with no beeping. The beeping was annoying anyway, especially when the doors were off. So I'm inclined to leave things as they are with the new lock cylinder, because otherwise it's working fine. But am I missing something, meaning will there be some issue if I leave the assembly this way?
