Is the new Terminator movie worth seeing?

I haven't, but I doubt it. I get my movies the old fashion way. I wait a bit and then down load great copies.

I haven't paid to see a movie in many years, but I have downloaded many that I'm glad I didn't pay a cent for.

I too have joined the "Resist" movement. I resist paying for movies and prefer the undocumented copies that are refugees on the web. A good Terminator movie I might make an exception for.

I came in here thinking I was going to be reading about a new mustang cobra

From what I've read, it is terrible.

I'm not surprised either. That franchise (just like the Alien franchise) is dead.

In order for someone to reboot those franchises, it's going to take some real talent.

I've seen more than one headline about the "woke" new Terminator movie. Are they using that description just because Linda Hamilton is back kicking the shit out of stuff? Seems like she was doing that in the first place back in '84, I don't understand how it's "woke".

It could be the fact that it has an elderly Hamilton "kicking ass", a hybrid cyborg female "kicking ass", a Mexican damsel in distress and a Terminator who has given up assassination for suburban family life.

So which one is the gender fluid, non-binary character?

The first 2 Terminator movies were two of my favorites from the 80s but the subsequent one and the copy cats after were garbage. So I won’t give this one a look.

Of topic for a sec — Am I the only idiot that still pays for his movies and TV shows? I have 412 movies and 3,900 tv series episodes at last count, all on my NAS. Every single one was muxed from DVDs and Blu-Rays that I bought and have NOT sold. I get bent when groups try to say that folks should not be able to digitize their own disks for their own personal consumption. But then I can understand where those groups are coming from when people are posting their digital copies to YT and other P2P sites where people are pirating them and creating bootleg copies of disks.

I may also (Hypothetically speaking) view movies/shows using technology not unintended for the purpose used.

Hollywood actors every day preach breaking the law and using/misusing tax payer money for illegal/unconstitutional purposes. Constantly telling me how to think. I should look out for their meager income? Maybe if they shut up and stuck to acting I would.

My current obsession is World TV (uk).... VH1 Classic (Kodi/HiFiBerry digi) Toslink splitter RaspberryPi 3b+ to Yamaha whole-house music.

In my truck (Android HU px5 xrc Rockchip) (Stock ROM) I run Kodi streaming VH1 Classic too.
