Hey All,

TJ has been out of commission for a few weeks as I have been busy with my new Co-pilot. Chocolate lab named Moose by my son. Eight weeks old and already 20 lbs.

Thanks Chris. We had a black lab back about ten years ago. They are great dogs. Looking forward too wheelin’ trips with him.

When I moved to Tennessee about 14 years ago we had two dogs, and immediately went to the pound and rescued 2 more. Our Husky passed away when she was 14, and about a month later we found a senior mix breed stray wondering the streets, so we took him in and tried desperately to find his home. We never did find his people, so we kept him. We had him over 6 years.
All of our dogs were seniors, and eventually all passed from old age, we lost the last one a few months ago and everything just feels so empty. The youngest was 14, the oldest was 18.
I'm pretty sure at some point we'll be at the pound looking for another furry co-pilot, but until then, my jeep won't be blessed with dog hair and wet nose streaks on the windows.

Ol’ Moose looks like he’s gonna put a few extra holes in your backyard!

Our lab loves the TJ! I tell her we’re going 4-wheeling and she jumps right in

Brings back memories from our pooch “Marley” , lab-Shepard cross from the dog pound ,
I’d ask her if she’s a “JEEP-dog” and she got all xited and head for her second home, the LJ Wrangler!
We had her for 9 years till we had to put her down due to unfortunate circumstances
.... but look out, I been checking the pound too over the last couple of months
Lol

Awwwww
That pup and all the labs pictured in this thread make me want another one bad!!

Had two both passed in the last 7 years. Have a 10yo Golden Retreiver for the last 9 years. Great dog, but I am a definite Lab guy first and always.

I just don’t want a puppy (we both work all day) and it’s so hard to find an adult under 8 or so. As soon as one 5 or under comes available locally they are gone unless they have major health or other issues.

Congrats on Moose.

This is my co-pilot, she's a rescue. Best damn dog ever. She was 7 when we got her, I'm really gone to miss when she's gone. She goes everywhere with me, today were at Long Beach, Wa. for the start of razor clam season.

Well, I REALLY didn't think I'd be posting here in this thread for at least a few more years, but here I am.

Back in 2005 we moved into our home up here in Tennessee. We had 2 rescue dogs already, and decided since we were officially homeowners we needed more dogs. We went to the local shelter and adopted 2 more. We had a full house! Lol

As the years went on, the puppies got up in years and eventually all crossed the rainbow bridge and moved on to a better place. It was extremely difficult because all of the dogs were around the same age, and we were losing one after another. We lost three of them last year. They all lived long happy lives, the youngest was 14 and the oldest was 18. I swore I would never ever have another dog!

But, a little over a month ago, we ended up back at the local animal shelter and decided to foster one of the dogs. Yea, just "foster" her for a little while and find her a good home they said. Lol
The "fostering" didn't last long, we ended up officially adopting her.

She just turned 1 year old, she's a Great Dane/ Labrador Retriever mix. She hasn't been in the Jeep yet, she's still pretty wild because of her age, but I'm sure at some point she'll be riding shotgun in Big Red.

That looks like a pretty happy hound, should be very good company.
