Best place to carry chainsaw in TJ?

@Airjunky has a good, simple setup for his chainsaw!
Google "chainsaw scabbard" or "chainsaw boot".
Mine is good for an 18" bar & made by Kolpin. I bolted it to a steel frame and use 2 tie down straps to secure it to the spare tire. Keeps the stink out of the cabin, easy to get to it, doesn't effect departure angles at all and secure. And plenty of room for Frankie.

I have seen many chainsaw holders built out of plastic cutting board material. They make a sleeve for the bar to slide into, and attach it to their spare tire mount.
I just put mine in the back of the Jeep, in it's case, or secure it to my storage rack.
Fallen trees across trails are common here in the PNW in the spring. But, I get the most use out of my chainsaw by always returning to camp with a nights worth of firewood!

Any chance you have any closer pics of your rack setup and how its attached? I have a tonneau cover and am looking at different rack options. @Randy_K I dont mean to derail your thread, sorry.

Because I have a ton of Dewalt cordless tools already, I use a 12" Dewalt 20v. Cuts a 20" tree, it's small & light, and doesn't smell. it just fits behind the rear seat of the LJ nicely

A buddy works at a shop where he can get this material. Used a router to make the slot for the chain & bar to slide into. Then welded 4 tabs to my tire carrier and bolted it to them.
