I’m in the process of removing my valve cover. I’ve made it to the final stretch where I need to remove that plastic bridge to get access to the back of the valve cover. These cables pictured are getting in the way of me be able to pry at the bridge. I can’t seem to get them off, and given that they’re 15 years old I figured I’d ask here before I break something. Thank you

When I recently changed my VC gasket, I used a long screw driver under the bridge and popped it off. I only half-assed the re-attachment of the bridge. I figure it is not going anywhere. I did no disconnect the connectors shown in your diagram.

You have to slide the red clips partly out to unlock the connector, then with both hands rock the connector while pulling apart.

Ok I just about have it all taken out. Wires are out of the way and I got the left nut off. All I have left is to disconnect the bridge from the right. I’m having a lot of difficulty doing this. The bridge seems to be attached to the right-most stud of the valve cover as well as being attached from behind there as well. I’m really not sure what to do especially in the back. Any tips would be appreciated

The cable has slip on plastic supports that attach to the valve cover studs that can be pulled up to remove

I had a very hard time with this also. I was actually able to get the cover off without getting the wire bundle support off. I too tried for quite a while to get the wiring out of the way.

Don't know what else to tell you, they come straight up and off. Have done this numerous times, they can be a bitch but that is the deal.
Do I have to pry at it or anything, or you’re suggesting that I just grab onto the bridge and yank it until it comes off?
