Looking to upgrade from my current setup of 33's to 35's. I will be moving from 16" to 15" wheels. I want to get cooper discover stt pros, so the question is do I get 15x8 or 15x10 wheels. Maybe somebody could help decipher the cooper website, if I'm reading it correctly I'll need the 15x10 wheels. Thanks

15x8 is my preference, though you could run a 15x10 as well.

I like the inflated sidewall look that comes from the narrower wheel.

I realize it says that 8.5-11" is the approved rim width, but you can run an 8" wide wheel just fine, I promise.

I was debating the same thing when buying rims and eventually i decided on the 8 inch rims and so far with normal driving and airing down and up on normal easy to moderate trails Ive yet to pop a bead and I run 12.5 inch tires like the ones your interested in buying. I went 33x12.5x15 coopers since im a student and I like to have a daily as well But all the shops I have went to said a 15x8 inch rim is normal and acceptable on a 12.5 inch tire.

Back in the day, I wanted as wide a wheel as I could get. Had a set of 15x14 Alcoa's with 39x18.5 Mickey Thompson Baja Belted tires (We're talking back in the 90's, LOL). I was constantly dealing with wheel bearings. I was young and dumb and only cared about how it looked. Now, I'm older and slightly less dumb. I'm more about being realistic and practical(boring).
I'd go with 8" and save some wear and tear.
