Is anyone familiar with Teraflex's 3” Suspension System w/ 8 Short Control Arms lift kit? I have the opportunity to purchase the kit, without shocks, for almost 20% off. I've been looking for a lift for our 2003 TJ Rubicon and found out about this deal today. I like the idea it doesn't come with shocks, this gives me some flexibility to select what I want vs. what the kit comes with. I'll be running 17" JKU Rubicon take-off's with 255/75/R17's (to begin with).

Is anyone running a 3" Teraflex kit, especially the system with 8 control arms? Link below to Teraflex's website for product info. Thanks

TJ: 3” Suspension System w/ 8 Short Control Arms – No Shocks

The issue with lifts often includes the joints on the control arms. For $2300 ish, it looks like you could do better. The front trackbar doesn’t look to be shaped where it will minimize interference either.

Thanks for the feedback. I should have included in my original post, I don’t intend to wheel my TJ too hard or do any rock climbing. I was looking at 2” lifts, narrowed down to the Old Man EMU, however this kit became available at the local shop for 20% off. I also like the idea of picking out shocks vs going with a shock in a kit.

It doesn't sound like you even need adjustable control arms & they appear to be the main drivers of the cost of that kit. Why not just stick with stock arms, grab the coils alone for about $200 per set, then add the track bar of your choice for another couple hundred.

I have a terrflex 3" but just lower arms, uppers are stock.springs and track bars plus 2017 jkr rims and tires' live in no.AZ and jeep in the rocks a lot,my 04 rubi does quite well......

I run the 3" TF lift, but got the one without the control arms. It has done great, not the biggest fan of the shocks TBH, but they could be worse. I specifically got the ones without the CAs because of the negative reviews. I will be putting savvy CA's on soon. If I had the money upfront, I probably would have just bought a top end kit and been done with it, but I am building over time and on a budget, so.....

I think our Jeeps are going to be twins lol. My 2003 is khaki and a Rubicon as well. I also have the same set of Rubicon wheels with the stock 255/75R17's. A buddy upgraded his 20016 Rubicon with only 13K miles and made me a sweet deal on the wheels and tires. I installed one last night with 1.25" adapters to check clearance before running a lift, shocked no rubbing on the sway bar or lca at full lock. That's with one wheel/tire on, I'll recheck once all 4 are on. I don't plan to take it off-road until a suspension lift lit is installed. Hopefully all (4) 17" Rubicon wheels should be on tomorrow evening (work, kids, life, etc. also going on). Thanks for the pic and advice, looks great!

What shocks are your running on the TF kit? The Falcon's? I'm rethinking and will probably not go with the 3" TF kit. While it's a decent savings, over $400 retail, if I'm going to spend that much, might save some coin and look at Savvy or a few other higher-end kit.

I have the 9550s on there that came with the kit, I don't know if they're just too stiff but on road not so good. They are awesome on the trails though. I'm probably going to go rancho for a happy medium
