If you don't have a stethoscope...get a piece of hose. Put hose against (safely..mind those digits) say the alternator. Put ear to other end of hose. You'll find what is being obnoxious real quick. P.s. A long screwdriver works too WITH EAR ON THE HANDLE side of it!!! Good luck
