Been lurking for a while but recently joined. Upgraded headlights to LED and now they will not switch off of bright?? Did i miss something?
thanks for any help/suggestions.

Sounds like an issue with the connectors.

Which headlights did you install? Did you use harnesses that came with them or plug them into your stock harness?

More info is needed.

Could possibly be your multi-function switch. Mine quit working the turn signals and then the headlights went from low to high beam on their own then stuck there just like you described. I installed a new multi-function switch and all is perfect again. Just my 2 cents

thanks, i'll see if i can check that without buying new parts..

The factory service manual under resources on the forum has test details on the multifunction switch for the rig

thanks.. looks like the bulb(s)/harness are the issue... ordered a different set recommended from the forums.. hopefully after the magic brown truck comes by everything will be good to go.
Thanks for the help everyone

Plug the old lights back in and see if the change. If the do then then the led bulbs are jacked.

Thanks for everyone who offered suggestions..after going thru lights and switches it turned out to be the connector. Wiring was in the black plastic sleeve pushed up against the connector and taped. Pulled that apart and found the the wires inside flaking insulation to the point where they were shorted. The pic is after is rubbed the wires with my fingers and the rest of the insulation came off for a couple of inches.. Past that everything was good. I cut the connector and bad wire off and crimped, soldered and put heat shrink on the connections. Hope this might help someone else to not beat their head on the walls.. lol

I was having a similar problem. My high beams wouldn’t cancel & remained on high beam. In my mind, I didn’t believe that the multi-function switch was the problem because the blue high beam indicator would go off as normal, but the high beams remained on. This was an intermittent problem & the high beams would eventually cancel. I was thinking that there must be some kind of electrical relay that was sticking, but before just diving in & changing parts, I went to my local 4 Wheel Parts store where I purchased the headlights. The manager said that there were some Pro Comp LED headlights like mine that did that & Pro Comp authorized their dealers to just change them out. Now THAT’S good customer service! I have an appointment in the morning.
