OMG! I'm so jealous! In your garage waiting to be installed you say? where exactly did you say you lived?
Seriously though, just wondering how much extra noise/drone I can expect coming through the firewall and if they shift the powerband lower in the reves range?
The length of the primaries is considerably longer than any other header I've seen for the TJ and - as I understand it - shorter primaries moves the powerband higher up the revrange and longer primaries moves the powerband lower.
Well, I live in Arizona...so the United States
They'll be much louder, there is no doubt about that.
@Bitar100 can probably comment on that since his are installed. Mine also have no cats, which means they'll be even louder since I'll be running no cats at all.
Yes, these things were designed with power in mind, and if you know anything about ARH, you will know that these guys know headers probably better than anyone else. In fact, before Jeeps I used to be heavily involved in the muscle car scened (owned Camaro, Corvettes, a Hellcat, etc.), and I can tell you that the two biggest names in headers for muscle cars are ARH and Kooks.
ARH makes all their stuff in the U.S.A., using 100% U.S.A. sourced quality metals, and they warranty them for life. Nick (the owner) even told me that if I EVER manage to damage them off-road, he will replace them with a new set no questions asked.
With a proper tune these headers are said to provide around 20-30 HP at the wheels! We'll find out soon enough.
