So I had the red brakelight on the dash and saw I was low on brake fluid, read upp on what to do, fill up the system, bleed the system.

Started according to the instructions with back passenger, got some air out and everything looked good.

Moved over to drivers back open up the nipple and got just fluid=good, then when I tighten the nipple thing the threding came loose and all of a sudden the nipple wont close = if I will break all fluid will come out.

So now I need to figure out what part is the part that I need, I saw in a manual that it might be the part that I attached a image for but I am not sure.

Anyone out there that can guide me on what part I need ?

My jeep is a 97 TJ with a 4 cylinder.

Thank you all!

Regards
Magnus

A pic of his would be better but it sounds like the bleeder stripped and he needs to replace that.
Pictures are always better....sorry for that.
Let me try to give you a better idea of what I think I need:
When bleeding the brakes you unscrew a valve/screw/nipple and then you screw it back, when I screwed it back it just continue on turning and the thread for where it was to be screwed to fell off, the actual valve/screw/nipple is good and seems to be unharmed, just the part where it screws in that fell to pieces.

I still can't tell if you are talking about the backing plate or the wheel cylinder.

@mrblaine here is a pic!
Now that my head is more stable (last night I hit the tow bar hard when bleading the brakes) I am wondering if the only thing I need to change is the break cylinder in the back, like the second attached pic since i looks like the bleader/nipple/bolt is screwed in to that part. You think I am correct or am I still a bit stupid after the hard hit on the head ?

The bolts holding the wheel cylinder to the backing plate appear to be intact so likely just the bleeder stripped out.

@mrblaine and @Chris just wanted to thank you for the help. Got the part needed and it was correct, just the cylinder that was broken. Going to get some more breakfluid and then I will be back on the road.
Of course there is more work to be done on my tj but we all have to start somewhere!

The photo is with the old cylinder.... Needed some photos so I could check how everything was put together before taking it to pieces
