Still trying to figure out which wheel and tire combo I want to run.

I have a canyon on the front and ecco on the back right now trying to help decide.

Neighbor said the Canyon looks more like 1980s and the Eccos looks newer.

Other neighbor said they look so similar that I should just keep the ones I got (Ecco).

Wife said she likes the Eccos but Canyons look nice because they are shiny.

I know there is not much love for the Eccos on the Jeep boards but what if I am not planning to run a bigger size tire?

30x9.50R15 on 8” Canyon

P235/75R15 on 7” Ecco

If I decide to keep the Canyons, I will probably swap over the 235 Goodyears. There is not much selection of 30x9.50R15 tires anymore and they are nearly twice the price...for ~an extra 1/2” height.

31’s on stock wheels look like they got stung by a bee and are having an allergic reaction. So that size is out for me.

I'm with your "other neighbor" - but wheels never did much for me. As long as they're round, the correct size, and hold the tire on the vehicle, that's about all I ask of them. I have Eccos on mine, and they're staying there for the foreseeable future. I figure the Eccos are easy and cheap to come by if I need to replace any - which I already have!

I have 33x10.5 on my setup. I wish the ecco came in an 8" wide because i like the look.

I think we both have faded or dull clearcoat on the wheels compared to that red jeep. I just emailed a local detail shop to see how much it would cost to get them polished up. Either that or I’m going to do it myself.

Are you running spacers with the Canyons? Did you ditch the center caps on purpose?

Looks like it will be about $100 to get the wheels done so I’m going to give it a try myself. I just need the weather to warm up a little bit.

I like the machined finish on the Canyon. Not big on silver paint.

I agree the Ecco's look newer...but only because silver painted wheels gained popularity as time went on (my opinion is because it's cheaper to manufacture and not because of any aesthetic reason).

Canyons are my favorite OEM wheel, with the eccos a close second. Tires will do a lot though, I think part of the reason the Canyon wheel looks older/dull is because it has a crappier tire on it.View attachment 217256
that looks great.

I bought a set of Canyons to put on my TJ to sell it. They came off a 48k mile TJ and are super clean and bright. I'm struggling so much with letting them go. I like the looks better than my current wheels, but neither set work for my direction in tire size without spacers. :(

Yes, I'm running a 1.5" spacer. The centercaps are there. The PO of these wheels painted them black for some strange reason. I'm planning to scuff and spray them when it gets a bit warmer. Close to a stock color.
