Rear view Camera install 2002

Hi everyone, I just recently got a hardtop for my 2002 wrangler x and the tint is really dark. It’s fine during the day but nearly impossible to see out at night. I live in a poorly lit area and need to parallel park at night. I want to eventually change out the windows but I guess a rear view camera would be a good compromise for now. I can’t see to find any info about installing a camera in a tj though so any help would be great. I would prefer one of those rearview mirror cameras since It won’t take up space and I need a new mirror anyway.
 
I installed my rear view camera in the trailer hitch — using a blank cover like this one:

Wires easy to route along the harness on the driver side, under the door and up under the dash. You can run the wire up the edge of the windshield frame and over to the mirror. I installed a double-DIN stereo with my backup camera, so it displays on the dash.
 
Or just get some super bright LED backup and brake lights. My windows are all illegally dark tinted and I have a 35" spare. No problems seeing.

I installed a camera from Amazon and so far really like it. I mounted it above my rearview mirror (which is missing in these pictures and I honestly might just not reinstall. On the newer Tjs you can install its so all wires are completely hidden. It ends up being a pretty clean install.

Do you have a picture of the camera installed in the hitch cover? Did you use one of the little round ones that drill a hole for?
 
If possible install a hard wired one . I use the in thr mirror type.
