So I'm doing my heater core today. All the write-ups and videos I've seen reference a "block" on the left side where all the connectors plug into, and it's "easy to remove these". However, I have no block I can find. I have individual connectors, each attached with some sort of locking harness. The lock consists of a lever that pulls down to supposedly unlock the connection. The one with the white handle I got loose, but the harness will still not pull out. The other must have a lock for the lock lever, as it will not move. How do I get these things out and disconnected?

Update: maybe I'll just try the "suspend the dashboard with paracord" trick instead of removing it completely. Then hopefully I can just leave these connected.

I just did this on my ‘05!

IIRC the levers should throw about 90 degrees, and this unlocks the plug. Just wiggle them apart gently but firmly.

to reattach, plug in firmly and throw the locking levers to cinch them and lock them down.
