just a question, is there a market for pretty cherry original OEM stock TJ parts like — wheels bumpers seats console?? Just wondering because i have some that i would like to upgrade from. Are there those out there looking for the original TJ look or just want to replace something effed up i guess its really a stupid question but is there?? Because i dont want to eff them up and would love to get some money and room for my upgrades. Pretty soon ill be havin some stock drive train parts off that really look not so bad. But what the heck do i know. I’m not sure i can even get the top off.

just dont want to sell myself short and want to part with the parts sooner than later in the project.

Holee Chet I’m gonna build a jeep! I’m so excited and scared I can’t but doggone it people like me. Ok not many but what evvv I’m gonna build a jeep and a house. Just decided that today. I know. BatSh!t. sad but true.

Used these hangers off amazon by Arc Off-road. Pretty good design. 37 bucks Made in the USA. To the guy whose doors i saw hanging on the pole if that’s your design patent that sucker its genius. these are great. easy to install and hang the door BUT you gotta have a hell of a stud to mount them on. haha i just reread that and hell yeah. (im not a lesbo...just sayin) I thought about welding them to a pole or mounting them on a wood post but my dad thinks he’s getting his shop back so he helped me find a place and hang them, instead of on a cart in his way. My dad he’s a saint. He keep trying to weasel out of that promise he made me when i was 15 that we would rebuild a classic together. I was always thing chevelle but i loved my tj i miss my TJ and can’t wait to build this TJ with my pops. He just doesn’t know it yet. Not that I haven’t told him.

Welcome to the cult, I mean club. I just purchased those door hangers about two weeks ago as well. I was apprehensive on putting that lip in the window channel, but I’ll be damned they work you are correct about the wall stud! I still walk out to the garage some mornings to make sure they are hanging. My neighbor also recommended putting some dense padding and hanging them completely over the lip

For reference, I sold my front bumper, front hooks, rear bumper, rear hook, aftermarket end caps, and a set of 5 canyon wheels for $75 and felt like I was lucky to get that. Front bumper was almost a new Mopar unit. Depends on where you are as well but in northern Virginia there are not a lot of these running around.

Yep, there is indeed a market, especially if the parts are in good condition!

There is a market but pricing is pretty low for TJ parts. They used to be expensive but not anymore. Lots of TJs hitting end of life with frame rust and getting parted out so there is a big supply out there.

I would say the most valuable and resellable parts are ones that you can’t buy new anymore - console/door panels for example. As opposed to carpet, wheels, bumpers, drivetrain parts which would be less valuable.

Thank ya i know right i was hesitant as well but it really does hold well. As long as you offset the hanger toward front of the door.
I put some foam on the armrest against the wall and on the hinge where it is too close for comfort against the rail. Thought about using the foam and hanging on the inside but when i saw the channel actually held i went with it.99D9C264-B486-45B2-B65D-488B1F6865E3.jpeg 2A23E66E-56E0-4743-8D5D-5B40C5F2420C.jpeg

Good strategy!! I bought those and recently acquired half doors, so now I wish I would have just gotten ones that the pins slide into 😩😂 #jeepproblems
