At this point, someone should just tell her that she should buy the diesel, instead. Because, well, you know...it's still a fuel, is safer (with the higher flash-point), and it's cheaper. "Yeah, Honey...your car will run fine with it. Trust me." :devilish:

This stuff makes me happy I have both gas and diesel options to drive.

well with whats going on with gas cans and gas availiblity, looks like i will need to set out a sacrificial gas can with the special mix for the thieves. older 2.5 gallon can with a gallon of gas and a small bag of sugar mixed in. worked great for the little A%^hole with the Razor that had been siphoning gas from my tank last winter.
You put sugar in your own gas tank?

Roger that! I haven't noticed any problems here - but I live a fairly insular life. But - "just in case". Reminds me of a story. Years ago, I was at the separate diesel pump filling one of our 3 diesel vehicles. Hot, busy weekend with lines at the gas pumps. Guy - in a Jeep if I recall correctly - saw me filling up, so leaves his place in line and backs over to where I am...

Then he was #6 or so when he got back in line rather than #2 where he had been. I've laughed about that for years...

I have seen no hoarding or any shortages here in NY, seems to be mostly in the South East. Anyone in PA experiance any shortages? I need to go to the NE Poconos in 2 weeks.
Wife said stations out of gas here in MD. People going nuts, likely no real reason too just whack jobs. Working from home so have not seen it myself.

I think cities like Atlanta would be much harder hit than cities like NY. Due to mass transit and city density differences.

But with COVID-19 shutdowns all year, why don't people stay home a week? You've been practicing.

Apparently the pipeline is restarting so gas supply will catch up soon.

no, i put it in an older gas can i had. left it in my garage in a spot that looked like i wasn't trying to make it too visible and the dumbass fell for it. gas can was gone sunday morning when i got up. i imagine that the combination of sugar and water in the fuel tank was a good surprise for him.
