Removing rear springs

I went with the light duty OME when I ordered, as I did not have plans for any add-ons like bumpers and such. Never say never, though, and I did add Dirtworx bumpers. I have to say, however, they made no difference in the height of the lift after the bumpers were installed. Just for my peace of mind, I added 3/4" spring spacers front and rear, just for a bit more clearance. I can see no reason to go with heavy springs in my case, the ride is great, the lift proportions with 32" tires is just what I wanted.

I can never figure out where the 'light', 'medium', and 'heavy duty' distinctions come from. I only see light and heavy offered.

No spring retainer clips on either of my front springs.

check the drop down menu to see the three offerings

Just FYI, that is the exact lift I am going to buy in a few weeks, and I plan on clicking the heavy as I already have a OME steering stabilizer.

Amazon has it cheaper with free shipping:

Just a heads up!

That's the HD kit, but IMHO you don't want anything but the HD kit if you plan on running a winch, a larger spare tire, bumpers, etc. I ran the HD kit myself, and it rides wonderfully, and since it's got the HD springs, it will account for sag that might occur should you add any extra weight to the vehicle.

thanks for the link, but that part# on amazon corresponds to this kit on quadratec..

now I just have to figure out which kit has the parts I want/need.. at the moment I'm leaning towards the kit that's also on amazon, as it includes a steering stabilizer in place of the transfer case drop kit that I wouldn't use since I already have a UCF lo profile skid to be installed

I was running that kit from Amazon before I put my Currie 4" lift on (which I only did for the extra height). You can't go wrong with OME, it really is an awesome lift.
