Hello,
A little intro about this jeep. 2002 Sport. 5 Speed Manual. Purchased in April through Facebook. The jeep was in a fender bender and holds a salvage title. Straight Frame checked by mechanic. 105,00miles. Purchased for $7,500.00. Previous owner did no suspension mods. Was missing the rear seat and female buckle. She had a shop put 31"s on the canyon rims. 3.73 gears. Dana 30 front & Dana 44 Rear
I cant complain about the mileage and the price. I thought i made a huge mistake when i bought this jeep. The ride home was gawd awful. It drove like a Uhaul. Tire pressure was at 35. Everything rattled. It felt cheap. I hated the way the hardtop looked. It was loud, and not a good loud. It smelled, it was infinitely dirty. This shit was wack.
The first weekend i took it off roading:
I took off the hardtop. Left the sway bar connected. Didn't air down. Didn't check coolant levels. And i was hooked!
It reminded me when i bought my ducati like 10 yrs ago. It was nothing but smiles. Me and my dad worked on that bike endlessly. Now we've been working on this jeep and its like childhood all over again. I love this sunflower; i haven't rode my bike since i bought it! That's saying a lot.
I need to sell this hardtop. Everyone told me to keep it but i have n ouse for it. Soft top doesnt leak and i live in SoCal. If anyone knows anyone let me know.
I will be adding pictures sometime this week.
So far this is my current build. As it sits there is no vibe issues:
And this is whats in my apartment waiting to be installed:
To be Ordered this year:
Potential future Plans:
THis forum has helped me tremendously so i just want to say thank you! Ill gladly take any advice for my current build.
