Yep, that's the one! I mean a TJ with the only difference being a more modern engine and transmission. Something that already exists but can be repackaged for the TJ in regards to engine and drivetrain.

You know what? I thought about that until I realized that the one I want is 28k not including taxes and fees. I can get a TJ for cheaper than that :LOL: I do like the diesel though.

What they ought to do is just reproduce the TJ. Make them bare bones and make them "recreational vehicles", nothing more. Sure, the market is much smaller, but it would bring Jeep back to what I've always though of Jeeps as being: simple, utilitarian vehicles.

It was a little tougher than I wanted but I think that’s because I should have rested it at room temp as oppose to in my Yeti. Still really good though. It didn’t last long!

I have to admit that I loved the adaptive cruise control on our Subaru Outback. It wasn’t perfect but it was darn close. It made the highway trips very enjoyable.

Yep, I turn it on the moment I leave the driveway. I hate leather too, it’s a terrible choice for seats IMHO.

If the frame is not that great and the transmission is in need of a rebuild, I'd probably just sell it for parts. Even if you fix the transmission, the frame will be a huge red flag to any buyer who has educated themselves on what to look for when buying a used Jeep.

Ahh yes, cruise control. One of the greatest modern inventions that not nearly enough people take advantage of! I use it religiously.
