I replaced the Tj plastic plate holder with a s/s Cj plate holder that fits under the turn signal, I did have to open up the large hole in the bracket to get the light connection to pass through. I’m going to have the 4 old plate holes in the body plugged and leveled out when I have Ripley painted.

Is there any cross reference model / year listing for jeep seats out there? My 02 has it’s oem seats that are not great but ok and in vg condition but lack a headrest. I would like to upgrade.

My Cj8 had its tire mounted to the outside of the diagonal roll bar, I moved it to the inside like this. Made a good deer rifle rest. On my Ford Econoline van the tire was on the grill.

Here’s what I came up with for a tailgate lock. I used the bolt holes in the tire mount where the brake light unit was mounted. The steel angle overlaps the tonneau while the oak slat pushes against the tonneau springs. Might tweek it some more.

Run it until its hot and have a buddy rev it up while you are looking under the hood. Do it at night with a good flashlight with a tight beam to illuminate the fluid in the air. Maybe then you’ll be able to see where the leak is coming from.

They have a soft tonneau that they install but the center brace interfered with the use of the trunk. The brace would have to be removed each time the trunk was opened so I kept the trunk and didn’t do the soft tonneau.

Came from an outfit called GR8TOPS in SC. I drove down for an overnight and they did my install but they will ship for a diy install. Nice guys.
