What are these magic numbers on the door jamb sticker?

There should be a metal plate under the left seat. Second line, second set of letters should be the primary paint code.

2.5 to 4.0 power steering hose question

The sensor is there on the 2.5 as the PCM detects the pressure change steering at idle causes, and then increases the engine RPM slightly to help lighten the steering. It's not needed on the 4.0.

    Headlight switch issues

This is what happens when fuse 1 behind the glove box has failed. The contacts in the switch are swept and the power from the headlamp fuse in the PDC brushes the dash/park lamp feed as it's pulled out which is why the dash/park lamps flicker on.

    Passenger airbag switch delete

Great to hear that did the trick for you. Good to know the resistors worked in case others have a similar problem.

    AX15 transmission fill plug

I think the thread might be M20 x 1.5mm. I'd have to take mine out to actually confirm that, but don't know when I'd get round to it.

    Passenger airbag switch delete

Those both look good to me. I think they should do the job.

    Passenger airbag switch delete

I think what you'll need to do is just buy a couple of resistors to link pins of the connector which can then be taped up and tucked out of the way. For the passenger airbag to be on there needs to be a reistance of 175-190 ohms between the light green/orange and light green/dark green wires. A...

    Best way to paint mirrors

The first time I sanded and painted my mirrors, but obviously didn't get rid of all the powdery stuff and it was flaking off again within a couple of years. The second time I painted the mirrors on my 97 was around 15 years ago. I sand blasted them to get all the powdery stuff off. Once that...

Front turn signal & marker light harness part number on 2005?

The wiring for the fenders looks to be part of the main loom that runs across the firewall at the back of the engine bay, and down both sides of the engine to the headlamps and fenders. Excluding about a dozen export part numbers, there are about 20 part numbers with various options listed. The...

    Unusual electrical question

Nothing stands out in the FSM. Brake and dash dimmer wires are well separated in the multifunction connector, so there's no way brakes should alter the dimmer voltage there. I think I'd try and stick a thin wire into the cluster connector at the dimmer feed and use it to see if the voltage at...

Motor Mount Bolt Size (With 1" motor mount lift)

M10 x 1.5 x 60 10,9 would do the trick. No Idea about the bolt extenders though.

    Radiator fit question

Yes still going. And my brain isn't working correctly. I fitted it in '11. It's now 13 years and counting...

    Radiator fit question

RHD rads from Nissens can be bought at car stores or on ebay(UK). Watch the cheaper listings on ebay as they will be for LHD rads. You can't swap the brackets from a mopar to a nissens to convert LHD to RHD as the Nissens uses a single bolt (M8 I think) at each corner rather than the two at each...

    Climate control issue

The way the vacuum was applied to the coloured lines changed between 01 and 02. It's possible the new controls were designed for use with 99-01 systems. EDIT: Looks like RHD retained the same control unit right through. The RHD HVAC unit remained the same throughout the years with the blower...

Is it worth paying for good brand parts?

A lot of parts are expensive in the UK and with Rockauto you can get branded parts cheaper than unheard of brands in the UK. If you need parts quickly you can pay more for shipping and even get things quicker than buying in the UK. I've been running a Gates water pump for the last six years. I...

    Unusual electrical question

I guess I kind of misread things earlier. I have been looking at this in the evenings mainly with beer involved. I still feel there must be some leaking between the brake lamp and marker lamp circuits though. I'll have a look at the 02 wiring tomorrow and see if anything stands out.

    Unusual electrical question

In fact. In later years where the cluster/dash lighting is controlled by the cluster itself, I would think the voltage on the dash dimmer feed is just used as a reference voltage so it doesn't really require any amperage to pass through the circuit.

    Unusual electrical question

I wired in relays and heavier gauge wiring, switched by the original headlamp wires. It took the voltage at my headlamps, with engine running, from 11.8V to 13.8V. If anything, with headlamp wiring upgraded and LED rear lamps, there should be less voltage drop at the switch, so the voltage on...

04 TJ LS swap Ignition switch wire

I based using the red wire at pin 1 as that's shown as the start control on page 8W-10-13 and 14 of the FSM.

    Unusual electrical question

There's nothing in the FSMs that describes the dimming operation of VFDs. Looking online, this is done by altering the duty width of the drive pulses, so must be IC controlled. Since the dimming only occurs when voltage is detected on the dash dimmer input from the headlamp switch, there must...
